What Does the BOROUX filter?

Important note for California and Iowa customers: 

To comply with state regulations, BOROUX Foundation Filters are only for use to reduce chlorine, chloramine, microplastics, and nominal Particulate Class I in California and Iowa.

    Third-Party Verified Test Results

    BOROUX Foundation Filters have been tested by IAPMO R&T Lab NJ, an ISO/IEC 17025 recognized laboratory.

    Fluoride

    BOROUX Proactive Filters do effectively filter fluoride. Specially designed to block up to 99% of this concerning toxin. The BOROUX Fluoride Filters connect to the BOROUX Foundation Filters for multi-step filtration.

    BOROUX Foundation Filters do not effectively filter fluoride. The test results showed that fluoride was filtered for a few gallons, but not enough to claim it’s effectively removed. 

    Fluoride is a particularly difficult contaminant to separate from water due to its small molecular size, electrochemical charge, and solubility.

    Arsenic

    We have not yet tested for arsenic.
